SMS terms

This document is a draft pending legal review. It is provided for product launch preparation and carrier or compliance review may still be required before production SMS traffic.

1. Program description

TheDriveBooker and the transportation companies that use the platform may send SMS messages related to account security, booking confirmations, trip reminders, driver or passenger updates, and similar transactional notices. Message frequency varies by trip activity and company settings.

2. Consent

By providing a mobile number and agreeing to SMS disclosures during booking, signup, or account settings, you consent to receive SMS messages from TheDriveBooker and/or the company handling your trip. Consent is not a condition of purchasing transportation services where applicable law prohibits that condition. Companies are responsible for presenting clear consent language to their passengers and drivers.

3. Message types

Examples include booking confirmation, pickup reminder, driver assignment, en route or arrived notices, receipt links, and account alerts. Marketing SMS, if ever used, requires separate consent and will identify the sender.

4. Opt out

You can cancel SMS at any time by replying STOP. After we process the opt out, you will receive a final confirmation and should no longer receive SMS from that program, except notices required by law. You may also ask the company or contact info@thedrivebooker.com for help with opt outs related to platform messages.

6. Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Supported carriers

SMS delivery is subject to carrier availability in the United States. Compatibility may change as carriers update their networks and messaging policies.

8. Privacy

Mobile information is used to deliver the messages you requested or that are needed to perform the Service. We do not sell mobile numbers. See our Privacy policy for broader data practices. SMS delivery may be handled by providers such as Twilio.

9. Company responsibilities

Transportation companies using TheDriveBooker must honor opt outs, keep templates accurate, and use SMS only for permitted purposes. Platform SMS allowances and purchased credits are billed to the company according to the selected plan.
